Cakeology IV

On fine summer day (late July), it so happened, while I lay myself on a comfy sun chair , the smoke from the barbecue formed a shape and suddenly I heard a deep heavy voice saying,

“Helloooo. I’m a genie and hither have I come to bless thee with three wishes pre-decided by our Genie-world.”

“The first: In days to come, when there is more of sun, baking becometh vital and thee decorate  ‘t to get drun’ .”

“The second: Evening further, when hands do sync with happiness from Pharrell, bringeth thee half a Wine-Barrell”

“Last but not the least, a day in ‘ts phase three, smileth visages b’coz of thee ……”

BOOM!

Trembling, under the scary hot sun, I woke up and realised, “oh! it was all a dream.”

Until then, I have heard from a lot of my acquaintances about the weird dreams that they had and their stories of dream-interpretations. So, after investing some time, googling for the meaning of my dream, I came to some sweet conclusions.

I hope the pictures below elucidate the context of my dream.

The first wish came true with the above cake…”In days to come, when there is more of sun,
baking becometh vital and thee decorate ‘t to get drun’ .”

As I have already mentioned in one of the posts earlier about how Amit and I got converted to be the Heineken Beer fans, our fondness for the Heineken Beer, since then, has increased manifoldly. And to pay a tribute to our newly found love, we thought, nothing can be better than a Heineken Beer themed cake, itself, on Amit’s birthday. It was a  simple fresh fruit cake with pineapple, mango, chocolate chunks and flavoured with Heineken beer. The decoration idea, however, was inspired by one of the cake pictures on google.

As the dawn started overpowering the dusky fruity-chocolaty celebrations, some crazy ideas for the second had already started rolling in.

Second milestone achieved with this cake. “Evening further, when hands do sync with th’ happiness from Pharrell, bringeth thee half a Wine-Barrell”

Came, the following day, a Wine and Dine evening to celebra’e. The half wine-barrell cake, in the photo above, served both the purposes when coupled with ‘the happiness song’ from Pharrell in the background. This marble cake has green and red grapes, layered alternatively, soaked in red wine and the top or the outer cover is decorated with the wine-barrell theme.

As the evening ended, while Amit drove towards our home, I, sitting next to him,  hoped of dreaming the Genie again to complete his last sentence.

…coming soon: My interpretation of the third part of the dream.

Thank you dear readers!
