Sto se siromahu da, nije nikad izgubljeno!- At times it is best to start a post with a proverb in a language that symbolises a beautiful country, Croatia. It is impossible not to fall in love with a country so diverse.
One fine summer day, as the sun awaited to step in, Amit and I hit the roads for another driving extravaganza. The starting point of our round-trip being Heidelberg, Maribor (Slovenia), Split (Croatia), Zadar (Croatia), Salzburg (Austria) were the destinations on the road-map.
Day 1: The journey started from Heidelberg and Maribor was our first stop-over.
Maribor is the second largest city in Slovenia with very interesting architecture. In our opinion, Maribor can best be explored on foot including the city centre, the cathedral and not to forget the Europark when you have only couple of hours before the city sleeps.
Day 2: We started for Split from Maribor.
The drive from Zagreb, Croatia to Split, Croatia is inexplicably enchanting.
Split, founded in 4th century B.C., has a very interesting history which can be felt while strolling through its streets.
Day 3: Split never ceases to entertain its visitors.
Day 4: Day excursions to Blue Lagoon.
Day 5: Day excursions to Trogir.
Day 6: Day trip to Krka National Park
Day 7: Drive from Split to Zadar
Day 8: The City of Zadar
Day 9: Drive to Salzburg, Austria
Day 10: The tour came to an end as we reached Heidelberg late evening.
